About the owner

I'm Jiaxin, owner and founder of Luxbags, and a self-confessed designer bag addict. It all started from my Fendi Baguette fever and selling my own collection because I want my beloved bags to have new owners who love and use them.

When I grew up in China and Singapore, buying second-hand was sneered upon. I experienced first-hand the social and financial obstacles that can stand in the way of acquiring one’s first luxury handbag. When I moved to London as a student in 2017, I discovered the joy of thrifting in outlets, vintage shops, charity shops, and flee markets. As a fashion lover on a tight budget, I found London to be a paradise.

In 2024, the fashion world is changing rapidly, and buying pre-loved is becoming more mainstream as it is seen as both trendy and sustainable. With the rise of platforms such as Vestiaire Collective, shopping second hand online has become more fashionable than ever. But I couldn't find a platform that gives me a personal customer service that I enjoy at thrift stores or brand flagship stores. This trend towards sustainability, and the absence of personal customer service, inspired me to start Luxbags.

We engage professional cleaning and restoration services to give our bags a makeover before they go to their next owners. We believe that these bags all deserve a second chance at being cherished by a new owner, and we welcome you to join us on this journey of extending the lifespan of our favourite bags.

As a business that is committed to promoting sustainability, we are always seeking new ways of reducing our environmental impact.
